Hello every one. Today is wonderful Norma's turn to host again and it's for the Magnolia-Licious Inspiration Challenge. She would like the participant to create a project using the following inspiration photo. Here is my finished card. Sometimes ago, I saw a card from Mindy's Blog and OMG, her coloring is so gorgeous. I thought what a great idea doodling the grass around Tilda and always wanted to try it myself. The other day, I checked my Magnolia stamps from Magnolia-licious Store and found my Explorer Tilda, so I decided to try that and create a grass field for her with my Copic markers.

I added some diamond glaze on the magnify glasses to create a shiny effect, then added some blings on the insects.

Magnolia Edwin on Christmas Eve Birthday Card

Magnolia Holly Tilda Valentines Day Altered Kraft Envelope

Good morning and hope you all had a happy Valentine's Day yesterday. Today I wanted to share an altered project I prepared for work yesterday. Well, last week the social committee of my office planned an event to do something fun for Valentine's Day. We were all given a 9" x 12" business envelope to decorate and to hang it by our cubicles/offices on Valentine's Day for others to put valentines/or goodies into the decorated envelope. Does this bring back some memories on your school days? lol.

Here is the pictures of the business envelope before and after when it was decorated. Of course I couldn't resist using one of my Magnolia Tildas to put on this project. I picked Holly Tilda from the Magnolia Sweet Christmas Dream 2011 Collection. Well she is the same this stamp's name, Tilda is holding the holly which has nothing to do with Valentine's, but I decided to alter her. See pictures below to see the altered part.

The left side picture shows you before I alter the stamp image. The right side is the 'after' picture. I cut out the image and adhered a piece of ribbon on top to cover up the holly. I then added heart shape gems on top to tie with the Valentine's theme.

Magnolia Wild Tilda Party Invitation Card

Good morning everyone. Today is another Magnolia-licious Color Challenge. This month's host is the talented designer Norma Lee. Norma would like us to make a project using the colors of BROWN & BLUE.

My project using these colors today is a party invitations card made using the cute WILD TILDA image from the 2012 Sweet Crazy Love Collection.

All you have to do is to create a project using these three colors for a chance to win a $25.00 Gift Certificate from DIANA of Magnolia-licious!!

Here is my finished party invitation card. Did you see the bottle cap accent here? Well you can make that easily. All you have to do is to get a 'No More Shims Embossing Mat' and use it along with your Cuttlebug or Sizzix machine and you can flatten any bottle caps to create extra embellishments. I cut out a circle to put inside the cap using the same set of DP and added liquid crystal on top to create a shiny surface.

Finally pictures from CHA

Sorry for the delay on uploading the CHA pictures. I just got back home and finally able to upload these pictures.

It was a great pleasure meeting all the wonderful people there. Although it was the first time to meet most of you, but was like I know you for such a long time. What a great feeling!! I wanted to thank all of them for the wonderful time. Diana took us out for dinner and my goodness, what a fun time we had. My jaws were just able to fall out from laughing so hard and my tummy muscle was so sore from the fun laugh too. That was a fun evening!! I didn't bring my camera, because my husband brought our huge camera rather than the small one and it was too inconvenience for me to take it with me. At the end, I only took the pictures with my iPhone. Sorry, they were a bit dark. Next time if I ever get an opportunity to go again, I sure will bring the smaller camera with me.

Magnolia Cupido of Sweet Crazy Love Collection Mini Easel Card

Good morning everyone. Thank you for the sweet comments on my last post. I am still in Los Angeles. I had a wonderful time at the CHA and had a fabulous time with all the people I met there for the first time although it seem like I've known them for a long time :o)

Magnolia Mini World Card Fronts to bring to CHA

Good morning everyone. Today I am off to LA with my family for a week. During this time, I will spend sometimes in CHA in Anaheim. I am very excited as this will be my first time to attend CHA and I hope to see you there.

I am sharing with you some card fronts that I am bringing to CHA today. I've been extremely busy for this month and tried to make as many projects using all my free times. I finished these four card fronts all in one evening, so you can imagine how rush I was, lol

Valentine's Day - Air Dry Clay Box Favor or Treat Boxes

Good morning everyone. Today I am so excited to show you some fun favor boxes I did from the inspiration of Linda's Deco Den Post. I had no idea what is 'deco den' until watching Linda's tut. After checking out her cool tutorial clip, I thought 'wow, how fun! I got to try it'. So I stamped out a Mini Winter Tilda of the Sweet Christmas Dream Collection from Magnolia-licious. I quickly decorated and couldn't believe the short time it took me. So quick and I even forgot to give Tilda some blush on her cheek, hehe. Then the next day, I did two more (without an image) on some spare moment.

I think I should have cut out the image since the image was a bit too big with the die cut. Next time when I get more time, I will cute out the Magnolia images and try it again.

Since I am leaving in a few days to LA, I thought this will make a great little goodies to bring with me to some of the girls there, so I decided to do more. Thanks to my husband to help filling the 'cream' for me. Between himself and I, we did 6 boxes in an evening. I wish I would have more time, so I can do a better job :o)

Cake Centerpieces Gift Idea for wedding and other occasions

Good morning and as I mentioned from my last post, I would like to share some cake centerpieces I made to share with you. I couldn't think of a cake top on these pieces, however, on one of them, I made a mini card using the mini Tilda with Hawaii Flower and mini Edwin with Butterfly from Magnolia-licious.

Here is the an all occasion cake. Each of three layer lids can be opened, so the cake has 3 boxes to store goodies.

Craft Day Get Together for Cake Center Piece

Hello everyone. Today is a very quick post (sorry I have a very busy weekend and I did a lot too) Yesterday, I had a fun time getting together with a few girls and we each did a cake centerpiece for an afternoon. I will do another post to show you more pictures on my wedding cake centerpieces, but today, I am just going to show you some pictures on our get together.

Nina and Julia are the girls I met through an online craft forum and also Karen who was my formal co-worker. We had a great time!!

Here are the cakes we made (sorry forgot to take a picture on Karen's cake, but hers is a fabulous looking centerpiece too) The cool dice cake is made by talent gal Nina, and the pretty floral one in the middle is made by the sweet Julia. I made the right side 'white on white' one.

Mini Bottle Holder Tutorial using Magnolia Mini Yoga Tilda

Good morning and thanks for stopping by today. Earlier on THIS POST, I've mentioned that when I get a chance, I will post the tutorial on the mini bottle holder project. Over the last few weeks, I've received some emails and requests asking about this project. Well, last night I finally prepared the tutorial and have this post today.

This is a pretty simple project to try out. You don't need to use a lot of cardstock or pattern paper, so maybe you can dig out your scrap, lol

Supplies you need:

Cardstock - 8" x 4 1/2" and a purple 1 1/4" circle punch out

Pattern paper - 1 3/4" x 1 1/4" (1 piece), 1 3/4" x 1" (2 pieces), 4 1/2" x 1 1/4" (1 piece) and a 1 3/8" circle punch out

Stamp - Magnolia Mini Yoga Tilda

Other Tools: Scor-Pal, Scor-tape, corner punch, scissors, glue

Take the 8" x 4 1/2" cardstock, with short edge across the top of Scor-Pal, score at:
1/4", 1 1/2", 3", 4 1/4"

Turn the piece 90 degree, with the long edge across the top of Scor-Pal, score at:
2", 3 1/4"

After you score all the lines, please see the picture below: Cut away the shading part. Cut following the 'purple cross' line. You can refer to more pictures below if you are not sure where to cut away.

I use a corner punch to round the left & right corners of the long strip on the cardstock piece. **But this is option, if you don't want any round corners, you don't have to do this step.

Now you can see what I mean on which shading part to remove. (left piece is after the shading is removed and the cut on the "purple cross" line. Then take the three small pieces of pattern paper and adhere them on the cover of the holder as pictures below. **I embossed all the pattern paper before adhere them to the cover, but again this is optional.

Then turn the cardstock piece over and adhere the long piece of pattern paper on the cardstock (see picture below)

Apply Scor-tape on the edges of the cardstock piece (See left). Please refer the "red" area for the edges to apply Scor-tape (See right).

Once you apply the Scor-tape, you can fold and adhere the inside as shown as the picture below

Then fold the outside edges in and adhere the piece as shown on the picture below

That is what it will look like when it's done. You are almost finished.

Loop a piece of ribbon together with glue or a glue dot as shown on picture below. Put the smaller pattern paper circle on the bigger cardstock circle. Adhere the colored Mini Yoga Tilda image on the circle. Adhere the circle on the ribbon.

This is what it will look like when it's done.

Ta-DA, all you do is to put the ribbon loop on the mini Bailey bottle and put the bottle into the holder!!

Kissing Tilda & Edwin Pinic Basket High Gift Box

Happy mid week everyone. How's your new year so far? After the Christmas holiday, I am back to work again. I know it's a little ridiculous, but I am looking forward already for my next time off which will be end of this month. If you are also going to CHA in Anaheim, well...hope to see you there!!

Since I am in an early February Valentines mood, I am sharing with you the love theme of a high gift box. I came across the tutorial from THIS TALENT BLOGGER and decided to try one. The finished box is not very large, I think it would be used perfectly for those mini 'heart shape' bath spa soaps or some facial towels, but that's just my thoughts. I picked the cute Mini Tilda & Edwin from Magnolia-licious to add a tag on the side. The Kissing Edwin Standing and the Shy Tilda are on the Magnolia Doohickey Vintage Tag. I just love this vintage tag die from Magnolia.

A Simple Anya Farewell Card for my daughter's friend

Good morning. Today I have a quick card I made a few weeks ago to share with you. My daughter came home one day and told me one of her friends wanted a farewell card to give to her friend who would be moving to another province. Since I was quite busy lately, I couldn't make a card with too much details, but just quickly did one up for her to give it to her friend.

According to my daughter, she said I have to use blue and purple, so I picked these colors for the base scheme on this card.

I colored this Tilda with Snowheart from the Sweet Christmas Dreams 2011 Collection from Magnolia-licious. I enjoyed coloring her, it was great fun!

Magnolia Edwin Label Tag on Mini bottle + quick envelope gift holder

Good morning everyone. Today I am doing a quick post on some treats I made to give to my co-workers at work for Christmas. I bought some mini bottle liqueur and created a little holder for them. I added a label using the mini Edwin on Sled image I got from Magnolia-licious. Because I didn't have much free time, I decided to skip the coloring part, but only added Stickles and liquid applique on the image to add some dimension. I also use my favorite Scor-Pal tool to create some simple envelopes to hold some gifts too.

Magnolia Sitting Tilda with Teddybear Gift Box Tutorial

Good morning everyone and thank you for visiting today. As mentioned from the previous posts HERE and HERE, today is the tutorial of this gift box which measured 5" X 5 1/4".

Materials you need, some are optional:

Stamps - Sitting Tilda with Teddybear from Magnolia-licious
Sentiment - Inkadinkado
Cardstock - 6" x 12" (1 piece - for box base)
Some scraps for the back layer for the sentiment on cover (see yellow border punched piece from picture above)
Patterned paper -
Cover and back - Magnolia Sweet Rainbow Paper Pack - 5" x 4 3/4" (2 pieces)
Border - Magnolia Winner Takes It All - 4 3/4" x 1 1/4" (4 piece)
Embellishments (Optional) - Flower, ribbon, brads, pearl swirls, butterfly punch outs, pearls
Tools - Scor-Pal, Scor-Tape, Sizzix Big Shot, Martha Stewart border punch, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Scissors, Paper glue, Spellbinder die cutter (to cut out shape piece the for back layer for the sentiment - optional).

*****TO FORM THE BOX*****

With the 6" x 12" cardstock, short edge across the Scor-Pal on top, score @ 1/2", 5 1/2"

Turn the piece 90 degrees to have the long edge on top, score at 1/2", 1", 6 1/4" and 6"3/4"

After creasing all the score lines. On the long sides, cut slits on each score lines up to the point where they connect with the first score lines from the long side.

Cut off (remove) the small square pieces like the picture below

Turn over so the cover is facing the top. The picture below shows the left part of the cardstock piece is the back cover and the right part is the front cover when it is assembled.
Apply Scor-tape to each side edge of the back cover. Apply small pieces of Scor-tape to the little part (as picture below) to each small square side of the front cover.

Fold the front cover flip up, then adhere the corners to create this flip lid for closing. Here are the two pictures. On the second picture of this section, you can see a closer view on how to adhere it to form the flip lid.

This is what the cover flip looks like when it is assembled.

Next step is to adhere the left & right side edges together to form it into a box shape.

This box is basically completed and you can push the flip lid down to close this box.

*****TO DECORATE THE BOX*****

I like to add some textures on the cover. The patterned paper is 5" x 4 3/4". However, the Cuttlebug Embossing Folder is smaller than this piece. Open up the embossing folder, with the long edge of patterned paper across the top, lay it inside the embossing folder. The side edges will stick out (but don't worry, it will get covered up by the punched borders later).

Put it through the Sizzix/die cut machine.

This is what the embossed patterned paper will look like. As you can see the top & bottom edges are flat since this patterned paper is bigger than the embossing folder.

Punch one side edge of each 4 3/4" x 1 1/4" piece with the Martha Stewart punch.

Adhere the borders to top & bottom edges of the back & front cover.

You do the same piece on the front cover. Apply the Sitting Tilda with Teddybear image and sentiment on the cover, then add any embellishment as you wish. Tilda Tags Holder for Magnolia-licious Inspiration Challenge

Good morning and the project I share with you today is the DT project for Magnolia-licious Inspiration Challenge. Our talented DT member PAT is this month's host for our challenge and she picked the following inspiration picture for the challenge. From the above picture, I made a Christmas Tags Holder. Here is my finished project. This "Match box" holder holds 5 circle tags. Here is a view to show you when his match book tag holder when it's opened. I used the 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 mini envelopes to create the pockets and put embossed DP on top of them, then adhered them on a piece of accordion piece of cardstock. Then created a cover to wrap the pockets to create a match book.

Sweet Christmas Dream Winter Tilda Ornament Box Set

Good morning everyone. Today, I would like to share a picture as well as a project with you.

Being a Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog DT for one year, plus in a close enough area, I finally got a chance to meet up with our wonderful Magnolia-licious Owner DIANA and the lovely DT Leader CANDY. Thank you ladies for a fabulous afternoon :o) There is also NORMA too, this time I missed her, but for sure next time I definitely will get together with her.

Here is the picture we took in our lunch date. Diana on the left, Candy & myself (in white hoodies) on the right.

My project today:
My project to share today is a Christmas ornament set (thank you for the inspirations from my talented Magnolia-licious fellow DT member Angela from her blog post HERE. Instead of putting it into an envelope, I made a box to put the ornament inside. This ornament was made with the WINTER TILDA from the SWEET CHRISTMAS DREAM COLLECTION from MAGNOLIA-LICIOUS. I might do a tutorial on how to make the envelope box sometimes later :o)

These are the finished set. I made a total of 4 sets so far.

Magnolia Tingla Bright Colors Baby Party Celebration Card

Good morning everyone. Today We have a cold week and the weather is getting colder and colder. Winter is coming soon. Our summer is so short and I do miss the warm weather and hot sun. Because of the cold weather, I wanted to make a card with some bright and warm colors. Today I am sharing you a baby/child card with all the bright colors (only because I miss the warm weather).

Here is my finished card. I used two stamps (one for the front and one for the inside). The baby theme stamps are TINGLA WITH BUNNY SLIPPERS and SLEEPING BABY TINGLA from MAGNOLIA-LICIOUS. There are some more cute Tingla stamps that you can get from Magnolia-licious too if you are planning to do some baby theme projects.

Magnolia Snowy Hug Tilda Winter Double Pocket Card

Happy week everyone. Today is first Magnolia-licious Color Challenge in November. This color challenge is hosted by our talented fellow DT sister PAT. Pat would like to challenge you to created a project using the colors BLUE & SILVER. (see the sample color pic below)

This time, I made a double pocket card using these two colors and the Snowy Hug image from Magnolia-licious. In fact, this is the first time I tried to make a double pocket card. Mostly the double pocket card is rectangle due to the way and the sizes. I couldn't do one in square size. Since I wanted to do a square card, therefore, what I did was I created a regular double pocket card, then I cut away the backing and adhered it on the square card front.

Magnolia Tilda Christimas 3D Tea Light Holder Decoration

Hello everyone!! I have lots of stamps from the Sweet Christmas Dream Collection from Magnolia-licious. Here is another project I made with some of these cute stamps. It's a Christmas tea light holder decoration. I form this box with four pieces of coasters. Punched holds with Bind It All, connected each piece with ribbons, then created the inside using Tilda with Cross Stitch Heart and Midwinter Tilda. The trees were cut out from the Doohickey Spruce Cutting Die. I painted some white texture on top to create some snow effect. The box for the candle folded using a 5" x 5" DP. Some of the pattern paper is from the Sweet Christmas Dream Paper Pack.

Magnolia Tilda Christmas Advent Calendar Box

Good morning everyone. Today I would like to share a 3D project with you and it is also my first published project. This project appeared on Magnolia Ink Magazine - my favorite magazine. I am so excited and thankful about this :o)

Here is the complete post of my finished project which I've spent over a month to get it completed. It is a Christmas advent calendar box. This project used a regular size Jolly Tilda and four Mini Tilda stamps. The little drawers were cut from Sizzix match box die. I spent a lot of time folding and assembling the drawers together, then the embossing part took quite a bit of time too. I added a shape easel card on top of this box.

When I saw the inspiration picture, I wanted to find a similar pattern paper of that checkered coat to use for Tilda's shirt, but unfortunately, I couldn't find one that I like. At the end, I decided to use the similar color scheme Copic markers and hand drawn the linesto create my own checkered pattern on a piece of cardstock. Then I just stamped the image and cut out the shirt to paper piece it on the image. I also colored a very light coat of Primacolor pencil, so it gave the shirt a bit of softer look.

Magnolia Halo Tilda with Silent Night Background Best Friend Card

Good evening/morning everyone. I am finally back from my holiday and how nice to have some Magnolia stamps waiting for me in the mailbox when I got home. I spent an evening colored some of these images. The card today is from one of the images I colored and it from the new Magnolia Sweet Christmas Dream Collection. You can now purchase these stamps from Magnolia-licious. The image I used for today's card is Halo Tilda. I think she looks adorable and I had a great time coloring her. I also used the Magnolia Silent Night Background Stamp to add a music note background on the DP. I also used different distressing inks to ink all the edges both inside and outside.

Here is the sweet Halo Tilda image. I colored her with Copic Markers and then touch up the shadow with Prismacolor Pencils. Added some Stickle on her halo and the wand.

Found this sentiment stamp from a stamp shop in Las Vegas during my holiday and think it will be perfect for this Tilda image.

Magnolia Tilda with Flower Pot under the Romantic Window card

Happy Thanksgiving week to all Canadians. Yep, it's Thanksgiving week in Canada and when you see this post, I am spending my vacation in Las Vegas. (sorry, this is a pre-scheduled post). I hope you all are going to enjoy this week and thank your loved ones on how much you appreciate them :o)

Magnolia Circus Tilda Sketch Challenge Card

Good morning and happy weekend everyone. Today I would like to share a card I made for some challenges, but one of them is the Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar Challenge. I haven't been doing a card using certain sketches, so I wanted to do a card using a sketch and I picked the sketch for that challenge blog.

Here is my finished card with the sketch. The image I used for this card is Circus Tilda from Magnolia-lcious. Since I don't have many Christmas card, I feel like Christmas color, so I picked green & red as my base combo, then added a light blue to this color combo.

Mini Bubbling Tilda Birthday Easel Card

Good morning everyone. It has been pretty hectic for me these past few weeks. Family wedding, sick family members and friends, out of country visitors....all in last weeks as well as this current week. Sorry for not posting as often, but can you now see the reason why I haven't been posted? However, I will try to get more projects to be finished. In the next little while, I hope I am able to share more projects with you :o)

Today, I am sharing a card with you using the Mini Bubbling Tilda image that I got from Magnolia-licious and use bright pink as the contrast on this one.

Magnolia Scraecrow Tilda Halloween card

Happy day everyone!! It doesn't take long to have another challenge at Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog. Of course, we still have our lovely Tracy to host this month's challenge and this time is the Magnolia-licious Inspiration Challenge.

Here are some closer views on the embellishments. The two bats with stitches are from a package of Jolee's, the pumpkin and the string of bats were from my stash drawer. The "Halloween" sentiment is from a DP pack from DWVC. The DP of this card used from the pads of DWVC and K & Co.

Magnolia Swimming Tilda Altered Paint Pail 3D proejct

Hello to you all and hope you have a great start of the week so far. It's the Magnolia-licious Color Challenge for September and this one is hosted by our talented fellow DT member TRACY. This time she would like to challenge you to create and project with the colors of ORANGE, BROWN & TEAL. Remember if you creation a project with these color and join us along at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog this time, you can be the lucky winner to win a $25.00 Magnolia-licious gift certificate.

My project this time is an altered paint pail. When I picked the color teal & orange, "tropical" is the first theme that came up to me, so I picked SWIMMING TILDA as my base idea for this project. I colored her using the Copics, then I also put glossy accent on Tilda's goggle to add a little glass effect on her. I also cut out some swirl shapes using the Magnolia Doohickey's Cutting Dies Leaf and Swirl plus the Sizzlits Decorative Flourishes set to add as wave for the image. I also attached some netting to make a bow on one of the sides of the handle.

Magnolia-licious Sweet Wonderful You Golf Tilda Card

Good morning everyone. Today I am sharing with another Tilda card with the images from the new 2011 Winner Takes it All Collection from Magnolia-licious. On this card, I picked Golf Tilda and Golf Flag (regular size is out of stock, but there is mini one too). My two nieces are golfers. They are my husband's brothers daughters. As soon as I saw this image, I thought of them and have to get this Tilda.

Here is my finished card. I haven't use a doily for a while, so I thought I should use it. I also used some metal flowers and flower gems embellishments. The "Sweet Wonderful You" sentiment is also from Magnolia as well.

Paper Tilda Purse for Magnolia-licious Insipration Challeng

Here is my finished project and it is a paper purse using the Mini Tilda with Hawaiian Flower stamp from Magnolia-licious. No Black Line Dancing Queen Tilda Card

Good morning everyone. Earlier I set my eyes on Zoe's Magnolia blog and this blog as she did a 'no black line' coloring. Her image looks so cool and it really inspired me to try one out. I like the soft outcome of this technique. On this technique, I tried it using Dancing Queen Tilda from Magnolia-licious Store. Isn't this Tilda image look bright and happy? You can find her in the new 2011 Winner Takes It All Collection.

Tilda with Pony Tail Card with Handmade Flowers

Good morning everyone. I haven't been too active on my blog posts lately due to family illness and family visiting. However, my schedule turns back to normal now, so my schedule should turn back to normal again until September when I am off for a weekend for my nephew's wedding.

Today I am sharing with you a card using the cute Tilda with Pony Tail from Magnolia-licious. For something different, I handmade some flowers to use for part of my embellishment for this card. I came across THIS BLOG for the fabulous flower tutorial and couldn't resist to try it.

Here are the handmade flowers I learned from the tutorial link above. For the colored ones I used distress ink to inked each petal before assemble them together. For the plain white one, I either leave them plain in white and added stickle or spray them with glitter mist to change their colors.
